Lampang Highway District 1 was established in 1939 (B.E. 2482), initially operating from a temporary building in Hang Chat District, Lampang Province. It was later relocated to a permanent office constructed on state property land parcel No. LP.54, covering approximately 18 rai, situated along Highway No. 1 at the entrance to Lampang City between Km. 714+535 and Km. 714+813. The original building was a gable-style wooden structure; however, it was frequently affected by flooding, impacting both the office and staff residences.

In 1996 (B.E. 2539), funding was allocated for the construction of a new office building, a two-story reinforced concrete structure replacing the former building. At present, the office is located at 16/97 Phahonyothin Road, Sop Tui Subdistrict, Mueang Lampang District, Lampang Province, Postal Code 52100.
